- This story was really about a criminal murdering 2 people and raping a woman. It took maybe 10 posts to turn it into a hate crime and then the ugliness grew legs. People don't have to like each other, but at least have a reason.

- @kh554, right. Because we know that this country was so racially united prior to Obama becoming president. Also the president didn't announce that Trayvon would look like his son. A reporter asked him a question and he responded. But don't let facts get in the way of your hatred.

- I think that this guy is a pure criminal and was on a crime spree. His crimes sound like those of opportunity and not racially motivated. However, if it is discovered that he profiled the victims based on race, then he should be charged with a hate crime.
